# DocketStream Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

> Answers to common questions about DocketStream's data coverage, update frequency, plans and pricing, exports, legal usage, and API access.

Whether you're just getting started or looking for a specific detail about how DocketStream works, you'll find quick answers here. For deeper dives on any topic, follow the links within each answer to the relevant guide.

## Data & Coverage

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Which counties does DocketStream cover?">
    DocketStream covers **8+ Georgia counties** with full data (rosters, court records, and corrections information) and **27+ Georgia counties** with roster-only data. North Carolina county rosters are also available. Because coverage expands regularly, check the **Roster** tab inside the platform for the most current county list.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How often is data updated?">
    Update frequency depends on the data type:

    * **Jail rosters** — refreshed every **30–60 minutes**
    * **Court data** — synced **multiple times daily**
    * **Sex offender registry** — updated **as the state reports changes**

    DocketStream pulls directly from source agencies, so data is as fresh as those agencies publish it.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Where does the data come from?">
    All data comes from authoritative public-record sources, including:

    * Georgia county jail systems
    * Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC)
    * Georgia state court systems
    * Georgia and North Carolina sex offender registries
    * North Carolina county jails

    DocketStream does not create, alter, or fabricate any record. Every data point originates from an official government source.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is the data accurate?">
    DocketStream reflects exactly what the source agency publishes. If a source agency has an error or delay in their own system, that will be reflected in what you see on DocketStream.

    <Warning>
      Always verify critical information — especially for legal, financial, or public-safety decisions — directly with the originating agency before acting on it.

## Features

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What is a watcher?">
    A **watcher** is a name-based monitor you configure to track a specific individual across DocketStream's data sources. When a booking, release, or bond change is detected for that name, DocketStream sends you a real-time notification. The **Professional** and **Enterprise** plans support unlimited watchers.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I export data?">
    Yes. **CSV exports** are available on the **Professional** and **Enterprise** plans. You can export search results, roster snapshots, and court case lists directly from the platform. If you need programmatic bulk access, the **Enterprise** plan includes a full REST API.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is there an API?">
    Yes. The **Enterprise** plan includes a full **REST API** and **webhook** support, allowing you to integrate DocketStream data into your own applications and workflows. See the [API Reference](/api/overview) for endpoint documentation, authentication details, and rate limits.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What is DocketAI?">
    **DocketAI** is DocketStream's AI-powered conversational assistant. Instead of navigating search filters manually, you can ask DocketAI natural-language questions — for example, *"Show me all bookings in Clayton County in the last 48 hours with a bond over \$10,000"* — and it translates your query into live results.
